Paper Sections Title page formatted according to APA style. Introduction to the topic to include a clear and concise thesis statement and include the organization to be investigated. Provide a brief history of the organization (no more than two paragraphs). Identify the organization’s primary competitors (one paragraph). Discuss the current management issue that needs to be solved or an opportunity for a prospective new venture (new product, service, etc.) for the organization. Present an understanding of the general methods and informed ethical approaches for dealing with the management issue. Identify methods that have not worked in the past and why. These methods can be from the organization being investigated or another organization in the same industry. Develop a strategy to address the problem or issue and provide at least two alternative strategies. One strategy must include a SWOT analysis in narrative style (no tables, graphs, or bulleted lists). Another strategy must include Porter’s Five Forces model in narrative style. Any other additional method for analyzing the strategy can be used for the second alternative. Provide a concluding paragraph or two that summarizes the main topics of the paper. Reference page(s) to list only the sources used in the paper and formatted according to APA style. Note that the reference page is always on a new page. Things to know and what your professor expects The Capstone paper will be submitted in two phases: rough draft and final draft. No student can include an abstract for this paper. A template for this paper is available in the course site and must be used by each student. All topics described in the hierarchy above must be present in the outline and final draft. The paper must be in appropriate APA format and documentation style. The Capstone rough draft must be a minimum of 5 full pages and the final draft must be a minimum of 10 full pages. Students who submit a rough draft or final draft that does not meet the full minimum page requirement (not including the title and references pages) will automatically receive a zero for the assignment. Direct quotes are not permitted. Students may only summarize or paraphrase throughout this paper (refer to the plagiarism tutorial about summarizing and paraphrasing). Every paragraph, including the introductory paragraph, must have at least one in-text citation. All paragraphs must me a minimum of 3-5 complete sentences. Papers should be free of spelling, grammatical, and writing style errors and be formatted and documented according to APA style. The entire paper must be written in third person only.
