Assess the authors’ arguments in terms of the degree of objective dispassion or advocacy, the coherency of the essay, and the quality of the data being presented. In other words we want a critical reflection, as well as your own thoughts and contributions to the debate. In particular I am interested in your assessment of the value or worth of the readings, evaluated dispassionately as to the trustworthiness of the statement, or perhaps its relevance, or perhaps its importance. Why would the evidence (data!) move you to act, or not act. Please remember: not everything that is written is, or can, be equally valuable. So how do we sort out the wheat from the chaff?
