Discuss and critically evaluate kant’s treatment of the concept of either substance or causality, or both.
Develop your own interpretive strategy and argument. You’ll be expected to engage critically with your chosen topic – i.e. demonstrate an attempt to read Kant carefully and purposively, keeping one eye on the general theme and another on the details. You should also demonstrate how your chosen topic links up with Kant’s overall intentions in the Critique of Pure Reason.
You’re strongly encouraged to express your own views in relation to what Kant says. That might entail bringing in other philosophers which you’ve studied into the discussion. Or it might entail stating where you think Kant is either insightful and coherent orvague and confused. It’s up to you. Be imaginative and creative.
