Within the paper, the student will do the following:
Effectively identify the point of the author’s book, offering examples that best support their argument, as well as poor examples provided.
Explain the potential impact of the trend, professional practice, or medium on society and its culture, while providing effective contemporary examples.
Apply a mass communication theory from class to understand a trend, to offer a better course of action than the practice explained in the text, or to explain the sociocultural impact of a media genre.
The term paper will be graded on the basis of the following:
The quality of the writing (APA style mandatory) – 25%
The quality of the writer’s analysis – 25%
The quality of the writer’s explanation of cultural impact – 25%
Accuracy of theory application – 25%
