Mr. Leo Friedman is a determined and astute businessman who started his career in the health care industry in 2007. He established a home care agency from inception, with the goal of providing home healthcare services above and beyond the average agency. Mr. Friedman’s agency swiftly obtained accreditation by the Joint Commission, and still maintains active certification to date as recognition to the quality of services he stands by.
In 2011, Mr. Friedman saw a greater need for improved standards of care on an in-patient basis, thus leading him to purchase and operate his first two skilled rehabilitation centers in the greater New York area. Within these first two years as an operator, Mr. Friedman After his first two successful years as an operator, Mr. Friedman formulated a plan to carry out his initial vision by branching out. Mr. Friedman’s skilled nursing facility organization ( Citadel Care Center’s) was formed in 2014 with the initial acquisition of Citadel at Kingsbridge followed shortly thereafter by Hudson Pointe at Riverdale. The most notable of all recent acquisitions would be The Plaza (formerly Jewish Home LifeCare, Bronx Division). This acquisition garnered much press as it would become the second largest skilled nursing transaction in history. Given his meticulous and hands-on management, Mr. Friedman currently manages 2500+ beds and counting. Under Mr. Friedman’s guidance and observation, Citadel Care Center’s prides itself on enhancing the level of care and dedication that is provided towards the overall populations health and wellbeing. Mr. Friedman feels honored to be recognized as one of St Barnabas Hospitals 2018 Honoree’s as he has been committed to carrying out the vision of St Barnabas Hospital since acquiring the St Barnabas Rehabilitation Center
