In order for you to help her learn about Medicare you have decided to provide a summary of each of the parts of Medicare and provide her with your recommendations for each.

1.    Medicare does not fully cover all costs of medical care for beneficiaries. Please explain why this is the case and what options Medicare beneficiaries have to achieve full coverage.
2.    Terms to consider:
a.    Medicare Part B, Medigap, Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug plans
3.    The federal government and Congress hope to move as many Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries into managed care plans. Why? Further, why are states more successful in getting Medicaid beneficiaries into managed care plans than has been the federal government?
