Assignment Parameters This is the Key Assignment for LLO 2.1 Writing and LLO 6.2 Inquiry Mid-Level and will evaluate the student’s ability to write effectively for a variety of audiences and purposes and engage in inquiry as an application solve specific problems. This assignment will be evaluated using the attached rubrics (see Appendix). Student will compose a research proposal for a potential research project. The proposal will address all of the elements outlined in Appendix A of the textbook (see Appendix C for an example proposal), include a sample Request for Review submission to UC Institutional Review Board (IRB), and an example of a data collection tool along with instructions for its use. The proposal should be 12-15 pages in length, double-spaced, include a title page, and conform to APA style and formatting. Students will submit a draft of their proposal to their facilitator no later than Seminar 6 of the course to ensure adequate and timely feedback. Papers will be evaluated on the following specific criteria, as well as the general criteria for papers in the BSOL Learning Guide. Submit assignment to Chalk and Wire.
